The City Mission – The City Mission exists to share Christ, to shelter, to heal, and to restore the homeless to independent living – without discrimination. The Mission is located at 84 West Wheeling St. Washington, PA 15301.
Pregnancy Resource Center – The Pregnancy Resource Center of the South Hills is a medical facility that has been serving the community since 1990. We are governed by a Board of Directors and overseen by a local medical professional. The PRC employs two full-time staff and twenty part-time staff members and more than thirty male and female volunteers. We serve an average of approximately seventy clients each month. The Center is located at 101 Drake Road Pittsburgh, PA 15241.
White Fields Foundation – In 2007, Brennan Gaertner founded White Fields Foundation (WFF) with a heart to challenge men in their faith and mentor fatherless boys in inner-city Pittsburgh. Often, it is our failures that make us “ripe” for the Gospel. With desperate situations prevailing, the “harvest is ripe”; hence the name “White Fields Foundation.” Recognizing our deep need is the essence of Christian faith. Our mission is harvesting what God is doing in Pittsburgh. We are building bridges of reconciliation between men in the business community and the poor through the transformational power of the Gospel. In June 2008, WFF launched a Christian men’s ministry with the leadership of Leo Wisniewski. Its focus is to challenge men to deepen their faith commitment through strengthening marriages and families, serving the poor, and living out God’s Word in friendship. Many have been blown away by the authentic relationships, the laughs we enjoy and the teaching of God’s Word. To date, there has been a full schedule of outreach dinners, retreats, games, and breakfasts that have been well supported by groups of 25-50.
Light of Life Mission – As a ministry of Jesus Christ, Light of Life will provide a home for the homeless and food for the hungry, and will build disciples for the Kingdom of God among the poor, addicted, abused and needy. Founded in 1952, the Mission was known as Harbor of Hope Rescue Mission when it served as a refuge for transient men. Eventually, programs were expanded to include women and children. In 1957, it was named Light of Life Rescue Mission; in 1979, the Mission purchased buildings on the North Side where the bulk of its programming is conducted. Light of Life now owns and utilizes three North Side buildings. The Mission is located at 10 N. East Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
Silver Ring Thing - Silver Ring Thing promotes the message of abstinence until marriage centered in a relationship with Jesus Christ through two methods: a Live Event and a small group resource called Bare Essentials. Since 1995, SRT has hosted nearly 1,000 events, reaching more than 550,000 total attendees. We welcome the opportunity to bring this program to your community and partner with you to impact students and parents with the truth of God’s plan for purity.
