Ziklag: Running Away – Coming Home
Obedience is hard…and sometimes it can wear you out. That’s what happened to David. Exhausted from running from Saul, David decided to escape to the enemy. This man after God’s own heart moved into enemy territory, settled in Ziklag, and lived in disobedience for sixteen months. In this series, we take a journey to Ziklag. We will learn what tempts us to live there. We will learn the consequences of settling there. And we will learn how we can, by God’s grace, escape the land of disobedience. Buckle up! Let’s take the journey together.

Connie,
Thank you so much for your note and for sharing your story. I pray that the messages on David on others that follow are used by God to encourage you to follow hard after Him. As you have well said, "Obedience is better than sacrifice." I pray God continues to give you the strength to obey.
Thanks for listening to The Journey.

I always listened to you on the radio and have always been blessed by the messages you gave. I'm going through what you would call the "crisis" part of Ziklag. (I'm experiencing an extreme heartbreak to say the least) I was listening to your message one night on the radio and heard the 'Strength' part of Ziklag. I couldn't wait to get home and go to Oneplace.com to hear the entire message. It was very comforting to find that there was a series on Ziklag. After listening to all the current series, I couldn't believe how the Lord answered my prayer regarding my circumstance. There are still some things I have yet to understand about my circumstance, but I can see how the Lord was working his grace and mercy to me through it all. Even with a heavy heart, He is strengthening me. Thank you for your obedience to your calling. God bless this ministry.
"How you view mistakes from your past"
I view my mistakes as a learning experience.
One thing I try not to do is to play the blame game, but instead to look at my part. Is there something I could have done different, where did I miss the way of escape as God's word says he will provide in times of temptations.
I do all this through prayer and reading the Word.
It's not always easy to start out with that view, but God gives grace to the humble, which I'm far from at times. It's always better to do so then to continue in pride.
I would appreciate if you would mail me a copy of your booklet – Ziklag: Running Away – Coming Home. I listened to your broadcast for the first time on Bott Radio Network forthe first time this past week and was deeply impressed with the message I heard.
Thank you kindly.
I will be praying for your ministry.
