When we walk with God, failure is not possible. We can fail, but God never fails us. Since he is with us, he will give us his success and turn our missteps into learning experiences.

King Solomon had some serious challenges ahead of him, but his father, David, gave him this great charge.

1 Chronicles 28:20
Then David continued, “Be strong and courageous and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the Lord is finished correctly.”

Solomon could set aside fear and discouragement because the personal God who never fails nor forsakes was with him. God would ensure that Solomon’s work on the temple would not fail but be completed.

We have the same promise: God is with us! He is our God. He will never fail us, and he will never forsake us. The good work he started in us will be finished in his timing and according to his will. Be strong and courageous! Press on to do the work that God has for you to do.

Lord Jesus, thank you for always being with us. Thank you that you will never leave us, forsake us, or fail us. Amen.
